We all know that how you dress is how you express yourself. What you wear is an artistic symbol of who you are and what makes you feel your best. The same is true for what you wear to a photoshoot, and I am all about people expressing themselves in front of the camera!
However, a few simple professional techniques will help you look your absolute best on the big day. Did you know that your clothing should stick to a certain color palette and specific patterns depending on the location? For example, try to avoid wearing green when the location is somewhere in nature! This is so that you don’t go all camouflage mode and blend in with the trees and surrounding area. It’s little things like this that have a huge impact on how the photos come to life.
So today, we’re going to go all in on what to wear and bring/what I recommend avoiding depending on where we’re going for our shoot. Take a look below:
Pro Tip: Comfort is key - wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable and confident!

Props are a great way to incorporate more of your personality into your photoshoot. Whatever the item may be, it can be a perfect addition to your photoshoot, allowing you to add that little extra oomph. For couples over age 21, I’ll bring a complimentary bottle of bubbly to celebrate you if you’d like (please mention this to me during our consultation)! If you’d like me to bring anything else, please let me know in advance, and I’ll see what I can do. Now, let’s chat a little bit about possible items to bring to your shoot.
Infusing your personality into a photo shoot is a great way to express yourself and tell your story to the world. Explore a range of outfits that will help bring your vision to life in front of the lens, and consider bringing meaningful mementos or props to add a personal touch.
